Jennifer Read, PhD
Biography
Biography: Dr. Read completed her BA at Denison University in Granville, Ohio. She received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Rhode Island in 2000 after completing her pre-doctoral internship at the Brown University Consortium. She completed an NIAAA-funded T32 Fellowship at Brown University’s Center for Alcohol and Addiction Studies from 2000-2003. She is currently a professor in the department of psychology.
Research Interests: Dr. Read is interested in in the etiology of and intervention for problematic alcohol and other substance use in young adults and veterans. Her most recent work has focused around two interests: (1) psychosocial determinants of alcohol use, and (2) co-occurrence of posttraumatic stress symptoms and substance use.
