Dr. Siever has published over 300 peer-reviewed articles.
Associate Director, Research, Vahram Haroutunian, Ph.D.: Director of the Division of Basic Laboratory Sciences at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center, Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Neurobiology at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, and Director of the Schizophrenia and Alzheimer’s Disease Brain Bank which banks and distributes fixed and frozen brain tissue specimens to a wide variety of laboratories within and outside the VA.
MIRECC Director of Education, Bruce M. Levine, M.D.: Director of Education for the VISN 3 MIRECC, Psychiatrist at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center, Associate Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, Director of MIRECC Fellowship Training in VISN 3. Prior to joining the MIRECC and Mount Sinai, Dr. Levine held positions of Associate Director of Residency training in Psychiatry at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and subsequently at New York University School of Medicine, and was the Clinical Director at Manhattan Psychiatric Center. Dr. Levine has won numerous awards as a teacher and educator in his departments of psychiatry, and is an examiner for the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Associate Director, Health Services Research and Evaluation, Marjorie Goldstein, Ph.D., M.P.H.: Psychiatric Epidemiologist and health researcher with a doctorate from Columbia University and a Masters in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Goldstein's research has entailed the use of computers for psychological assessment, survey research and delivery of curricula for groups with specific needs.
Associate Director, Clinical, Miklos Losonczy, M.D. Ph.D.: Associate Chief of Staff for Mental Health and Behavioral Sciences for the VA New Jersey Healthcare System, Co-chair of the VISN 3 Mental Health Advisory Group, Co-chair of the Under Secretary for Health’s Special Committee on the Seriously Mentally Ill Veterans, and Associate Professor, Department of Psychiatry, Robert Wood Johnson School of Medicine.
Associate Director, Suicide Research, Antonia New, M.D.: Associate Professor of Psychiatry, Mood and Personality Disorders, Mount Sinai School of Medicine, Psychiatrist at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center. Her research foci are on suicide in veterans, emotion dysregulation resulting in symptoms such as impulsive aggression and borderline personality disorder. Dr. New also studies the individual differences in response to stress and trauma, focusing on how this relates to emotion regulation.
Associate Director, Education, Marianne Goodman, M.D. : Associate Professor of Psychiatry, Mount Sinai School of Medicine, Psychiatrist at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center. Dr. Goodman is involved in treatment research on borderline personality disorder, clinical work and coordinates the medical student education program for the department. Her research focuses on Dialectical Behavioral Therapy treatment for Borderline Personality Disorder and childhood trauma antecedents.
