Name: Recovery: A Journey of Healing and Transformation DVD
Description: This 48-minute DVD was developed to introduce the recovery model to veterans with mental illness, family members and significant others, and medical center staff. The program illustrates the dimensions of recovery through veteran-consumer testimonials and a simulated community meeting. Additional online resources are identified in the credits. This project was produced by mental health staff and veteran consumers at 4 medical centers (Houston, Biloxi, Dallas, Little Rock). The DVD was developed by Quang (Charlie) X. Nguyen, Ph.D., Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center, Houston and many others.
