Danielle Arigo, PhD

Biography

Biography: Dr. Danielle Arigo received her PhD in clinical psychology from Syracuse University with a specialty in health psychology/behavioral medicine. She completed her clinical internship at the Syracuse VA Medical Center, during which she worked with Dr. Jennifer Funderburk of the CIH on VA’s MOVE! program. Upon completion of her internship, Dr. Arigo completed a post-doctoral research fellowship at Drexel University working in the Laboratory for Innovations in Health-Related Behavior Change and Lowe Labs. She is now an Assistant Professor of Psychology at The University of Scranton.

Research Interests: Dr. Arigo’s research focuses on predictors of engagement and attrition from MOVE! and testing the implementation of a Veteran self-management system for primary care visits (i.e., providing a set of preparatory materials for patient visits, which would increase efficiency and patient satisfaction).
