Johnpatrick Marr Photo

Biography: J. Johnpatrick (JP) Marr is a Research Assistant at Buffalo CIH. He comes to Western New York by way of Maryland where he studied Psychology at University of Maryland, Baltimore County and worked in the behavioral biology department at Walter Reed Army Institute of Research as a technician and lab manager. JP earned a Baltimore City teaching certification and taught in two high-need secondary schools before joining CIH in 2012.

JP also assists with the Center's training initiatives and workgroups such as The Mental and Behavioral Health in PACT Training and Education Workgroup. JP is also the administrator for CIH SharePoint and can be contacted with any questions regarding educational materials produced by the Center.

Johnpatrick looks forward to furthering his psychology education and is particularly interested in the unique needs of active duty military and Veterans, behavioral health, nutrition and education.

Research Activities: In Mr. Marr's work for the Center for Integrated Healthcare he serves as:

Research Assistant: Barriers to recovery-oriented mental health services in primary care,Knowledge, symptom perception, and treatment experiences of veterans with traumatic brain injury and gaps in primary care in Veterans with dementia.
