National Chaplain Center (NCC)
The Mission of the National Chaplain Center is to empower Department of Veterans Affairs Chaplains in the achievement of excellence in meeting the Spiritual Healthcare needs of Veterans.

Health Services Research & Development (HSR&D)
The VA Health Services Research and Development Service (HSR&D) pursues research that underscores all aspects of VA healthcare: patient care, care delivery, health outcomes, cost, and quality. HSR&D research also addresses critical issues for Veterans returning home from Iraq and Afghanistan with conditions that may require care over their lifetimes. Within VA HSR&D, researchers focus on identifying and evaluating innovative strategies that lead to accessible, high quality, cost-effective care for Veterans and the nation.

Psychological Health Center of Excellence (PHCoE)
The current mission of the Psychological Health Center of Excellence (PHCoE) is to improve the lives of our nation’s service members, veterans, and their families by advancing excellence in psychological health care, readiness, and prevention of psychological health disorders.

Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS)
The mission of the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences is to educate, train and prepare uniformed services health professionals, officers and leaders to directly support the Military Health System, the National Security and National Defense Strategies of the United States and the readiness of our Armed Forces.

National Center for PTSD
We are the center of excellence for research and education on the prevention, understanding, and treatment of PTSD. Although we are a VA Center, our seven divisions across the country provide expertise on all types of trauma - from natural disasters, terrorism, violence and abuse to combat exposure.

Other Partners
The VA Mental Health and Chaplaincy Program partners with numerous other offices, entities, and organizations. We regularly partner with universities, research organizations, various community and faith-based organizations, healthcare systems, private corporations, and a range of different federal offices. Much of our work depends on optimizing collaboration between these different partners to achieve programmatic objectives.
