About Finding Your Rhythm: A Guide to Using Music for Mental Wellness

This guide is for Veterans who want simple ways to use music to support their health. It’s especially helpful for those living in rural areas, as many of the activities can be done anywhere. Veterans don’t need to be musical to benefit. The activities are simple and scientists have shown them to be helpful.

  • Activities can be done alone at home or with family and friends.
  • This guide does not provide treatment or replace therapy. The goal of this guide is to support your daily well-being and self-care.
  • Works well with VHA resources like “Taking Charge of My Life and Health” or the Mindfulness Coach app.
