Leadership

VA Mid-Atlantic MIRECC

The VA Mid-Atlantic MIRECC is guided by a multidisciplinary team of scientists, clinician-researchers, and administrators committed to advancing post-deployment mental health care for Veterans and their families.

Research, Education, and Clinical Core Leadership

Communities of Research (CoRs)

Communities of Research (CoRs) are the largest research units within the VA Mid-Atlantic MIRECC Research Core. Our research communities function as interconnected ecosystems composed of investigators with complementary expertise and methodological approaches to foster discussions that support innovative research. Each CoR includes multiple MIRECC principal investigators and their research teams of post-doctoral fellows, students, and staff. MIRECC principal investigators have a primary membership in a single CoR, but many choose to have memberships in one or more others.

Laboratories and Principal Investigators

The VA Mid-Atlantic MIRECC includes a diverse team of principal investigators who lead their own laboratories and research teams centered around specific post-deployment mental health conditions. Together, they lead studies, mentor the next generation of VA scientists, and drive the science that improves care for Veterans.
