If you've only smoked a few cigarettes, or smoked for a day or two, you've had a slip. Many successful ex-smokers have had a slip along the way. Don't be hard on yourself. Let a slip slide.

Take what you learned from this slip and continue on your path to becoming a successful ex-smoker.

Think about:

Come up with a plan to manage this trigger the next time it happens. Use a strategy to manage your triggers
Don't let one slip take you back to smoking again!

If you go back to your daily habit of smoking, you have relapsed.
If you relapse, set a new Quit Date within the next 2 weeks.
