Recommendation Resources

Gatekeeper training is one of the most widely used suicide prevention strategies designed to increase public engagement into preventative services for suicide, which includes programs such as Question, Persuade, and Refer (QPR) and Applied Skills in Suicide Training (ASIST). The literature review conducted for the CPG did not yield evidence for or against gatekeeper training alone reducing population-level suicide rates.
