Laura Buchholz, PhD
Biography
Biography: Dr. Buchholz received her PhD in clinical psychology from Kent State University with a concentration in health psychology and quantitative methods. She completed her predoctoral internship at the VA WNY Healthcare System. Upon completion of her internship, Dr. Buchholz completed a two-year MIRECC fellowship at the VA Center for Integrated Healthcare in Buffalo, NY. She is now an assistant professor of psychology at the University of Tampa.
Research Interests: Dr. Buchholz’s research focuses on women’s health. Two primary areas of her recent work include: 1) understanding the etiology and consequences associated with eating, exercise, and alcohol misuse among women; and 2) improving the identification and management of disordered eating among women veterans in primary care settings
