RESEARCH INTERESTS
I have a background in suicide risk assessment as well as intervention development and implementation, and am interested in the intersection of trauma, moral injury, and suicide risk among Veterans. More specifically, I am interested in refining the construct of moral injury, investigating its relationship to trauma and suicide risk, and ultimately developing, evaluating, and implementing interventions that reduce the risk of suicide among Veterans experiencing moral injury.
PRACTICE & INNOVATION
I am interested in serving Veterans because I believe they provide an incredible service to our country, and, in doing so, are exposed to complex stressors that affect their wellbeing in numerous ways. Trauma is an especially salient concern for this population, and my research aims to increase knowledge about the ways in which trauma affects Veterans as well as develop interventions that effectively treat the psychosocial sequelae of traumatic stress.
