VA-CERP Internship

The VA Center of Excellence Research Program (VA-CERP) is a two-semester research internship for students entering their Junior or Senior years at Baylor University or Tarleton State University. The program is designed to help students gain research experience in a clinical research setting and prepare for graduate school, medical school, or post-baccalaureate careers. The internship class begins in the Fall semester and requires a 10-hour per week commitment, of which eight hours are spent gaining hands-on research experience, one hour is dedicated to attending didactic trainings, and another hour is devoted to reading and writing activities.

Duties

Past students have assisted with the following activities:

  • Data entry
  • Screening study participants
  • Reviewing research articles
  • Observing diagnostic assessments
  • Assisting with grant applications

Requirements

Applicants must be currently enrolled at Baylor University of Tarleton State University. Applicants should apply through their university's application portal.
