Transitioning Servicemember/Veteran and Suicide Prevention Center (TASC)
TASC endeavors to provide educational programming and training regarding suicide prevention for service providers and the community at large in support of transitioning servicemembers/Veterans.
Veteran Cultural Competence
The Veteran Cultural Competence training is an evidence-based, day-long immersive educational experience designed to improve the levels of Veteran cultural self-efficacy among VA and non-VA medical/mental health providers and communitymembers.
With the support of VISN 2 leadership and the Mental Illness Research, Education and Clinical Centers (MIRECC) at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center in the Bronx, TASC endeavors to provide an educational webinar series regarding suicide prevention for VA and non-VA service providers and the community at large. The topics for the series consist of innovative treatments and insights that inform clinical care (Veteran suicide risk detection and management, Veteran attrition from mental health care, compassion fatigue amongst service providers and clinicians, impacts of transitional stress and experiences on Veteran behavioral health).
