    If you are seeking a new job, there are resources that can help you locate job opportunities and prepare you for them with resume writing and interview coaching services.

    • American Job Centers offer employment and training services for Veterans. Call 1-877-US-2JOBS (1-877-872-5627 supports TTY) or find your local center online. Play a 2-minute video on how the Department of Labor can help you get a job.
    • Connect with your closest Veterans’ Employment and Training Service contact with this regional map.
    • The Veteran and Military Transition Center’s CareerOneStop has the resources you need to make your job search successful including preparing for your job search, networking effectively, sources of job postings, federal hiring, resume and application assistance and interview tips.
    • Put your military skills to work in a civilian job with the Veterans Job Matcher. Enter your MOC code, select your branch, and you’ll find career information and links to job postings in your local area.

    • Find training programs and free business counseling while learning more about loan and federal contracting programs at the Small Business Administration’s page for Veteran-owned businesses or by calling 1-202-205-6773.
    • If you have a Veteran-Owned Small Business, you may qualify for advantages when bidding on government contracts as well as access to other resources and support through the Veteran Small Business Certification program (VetCert) run by the Small Business Administration.
