Clinical Care | South Central MIRECC
The SC MIRECC Clinical Care Core aims to improve the quality of mental health care in VISNs 16 and 17 by aligning what is actually achieved in the day-to-day clinical practice of mental health treatments and services with what research demonstrates is possible.
The mission of the SC MIRECC Consumer Advisory Board (CAB) is to advise the SC MIRECC and mental health product lines (MHPLs) in VISN 16 and 17 regarding development of educational programs, research materials, and improvement of clinical services to benefit Veterans and to educate Veterans, consumers and their families about MIRECC and MHPL accomplishments.
The CAB provides feedback on a range of topics to investigators seeking funding from competitive grant agencies and those seeking pilot study or education grants from SC MIRECC. Because many CAB members live in rural areas, their feedback is especially useful for investigators seeking SC MIRECC funding, which targets rural and other underserved Veterans.
Announcement: The SC MIRECC CAB has openings for presenters for 2019 on June 5th, July 3rd, August 7th, September 4th, November 6th, and December 4th. Email Zenab.Yusuf@va.gov for more information.”
